What Exactly is a Unicorn Girl?
​
An homage to the two real Unicorn Girls, our beloved hazy and juicy American Pale Ale is brewed in honor of our owners’ twin daughters who at an early age, before BBP was born, called themselves the Unicorn Girls.
In addition to Unicorn Girls, we have used a number of fun sayings that our owners wrote down from the early days of their daughters’ lives as beer names. Random comments like “Can I Put the Hops In?”, “From Making Dreams”, “I Came Over to Celebrate” and “Be Quiet in the Castle” are records of quick wit developed at a young age. Through these names we continue to celebrate the family and community focus of our brewery all while having a little fun.
Unicorn Fact: Ben Douglass is the talented designer behind the UG label (he develops the remainder of BBP’s labels as well). Partnering with Ben, we have designed a simple yet present brand for UG which includes a prominent and informative front portion of the label, Unicorn and hop plant vectors on the side for a touch of flair, and enough information on the back to lead you here. We hope you enjoy it!
Why is unicorn girls Important?

We consider Unicorn Girls our “wide-net” beer that captures the hearts and taste buds of a vast array of drinkers. Light and crushable yet present and flavorful, it appeals to casual beer drinkers and craft beer aficionados alike.
When they were young homebrewing entrepreneurs, Chelsey and Mike rarely brewed the same beer twice. The beer that ultimately became Unicorn Girls was brewed numerous times - getting this beer right was important to them. A beer that their family and craft beer friends can drink together, a beer that creates community, and focuses on celebrating togetherness, not differences. This is that beer.
Unicorn Fact: While the recipe for this beer had to be adjusted for commercial scale, the ingredients and essence have remained mostly the same since the first home brewed batches.
HOW IS UNICORN GIRLS BREWED?

Similar to most beers, Unicorn Girls is brewed with malted grain, hops, yeast and water with an addition of milk sugar for a touch of sweetness. The grain base is a blend of American Pale Malt, both white and flaked wheat and oats creating a soft and pillowy canvas for the fruit forward flavors and aromas to shine.
Unicorn Fact: Did you know that beer contains about 95% water by volume? In our local area, we are lucky to have soft and mineral full water that accentuates the profile of most hazy-style beers. The water profile of Unicorn Girls rounds out the backbone of the beer to create an easy drinking experience.
The beer is brewed and dry hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic and Huell Melon hops. Aromas of melon and strawberry fill the room when poured with similar flavors that are accompanied by a subtle kiss of citrus.
WHERE CAN I FIND UNICORN GIRLS?

You can purchase Unicorn Girls in three ways:
BBP Online Store - You can place an order for Unicorn Girls single cans / 4-packs / cases / kegs through our online store by clicking here. You have the option to pick up your order in our Tasting Room during regular hours or have it delivered anywhere in NJ (we deliver twice a week - minimum order required). In our store, you can also find Unicorn Girls merchandise. Please note that out of state shipping and delivery are not available.
BBP Tasting Room - Our Tasting Room, located at 714 Main St., Bradley Beach, NJ is open six days a week (closed Mondays and certain major holidays). You can come in and purchase UG on draft to enjoy in the setting of our beautiful, warm and welcoming Tasting Room. After a pint or two, you can also take some home with you.
Draft and Retail Partners - BBP delivers beer to over 100 draft and retail partners throughout New Jersey. If your favorite bar, restaurant or liquor store does not carry Unicorn Girls, politely ask them to do so! You can also send leads and partner suggestions to sales@bradleybrew.com.

Bradley Brew Project is a microbrewery that focuses on an assortment of inspired and approachable ales and lagers. Brewing about 1,000 BBLs annually, we have been steadily growing since our opening in 2018. BBP’s environment is welcoming where every customer and Team Member is made to feel like a member of our family. The BBP Team is determined to produce the best beer in NJ and with about 15 employees, our small business, community-focused approach creates a nurturing and welcoming space for all.
While we do not accept unsolicited requests for donations, we are proud to support various local, state and national charities with donations of about $10,000 annually.
Unicorn Fact: We are located in the quaint beach town of Bradley Beach which, while small and subtle, is the home to over 20 service industry focused businesses. Stop by, visit one of our community neighbors and tell ‘em we said hi.
